The Nicolo’ I pontoon, built in 2006 in the Piras workshop, is made of structural steel and is the first example of this kind of pontoon.
Main sizes: LFT 6000 mm; Bmax 4000 mm; draft 400 mm; displacement (no load) 4 t; free edge 500 mm.
The pontoon is made up of six water-tight cases of reinforced sheet metal (4 mm thick). The pontoon’s capacity is 4 tons, the load capacity of the sheerlegs hook is 2.5 tons and the usable load capacity (spread out on surfaces with grids) is 400 kg/sq.m.
